Calling all Mermaid Lovers!
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Hello! Through my crafting adventures, I’ve been trying to refurbish things that I already have to make them fit with the decor of my home. I recently took a plain old mirror and gave it a coastal twist!
I started by covering the mirror portion with paper and then used gold spray paint to coat the wooden frame. I used a stencil to trace the semi circle scales and then used different shades of acrylic paint to paint the scales. Once the painting was completed, I used a little glue and glitter to create a few sparkle scales.
I love the final product! It’s beautiful! I hope you enjoyed!!

Mermaid Monogram
Hello! This craft wasn’t as easy as I was hoping it would be, but I’m still happy with how it turned out!
What you’ll need:
- Monogram
- Spray paint
- Acrylic paint
- Shells
- Sea glass
- Twine
- Fishnet stockings
I started by spray painting the monogram using a mixture of silver and gold paint. Initially I tried to secure the fishnets over the monogram and then paint, but that didn’t work so well. I then used the fishnets as a stamp to try to create the scales. Didn’t turn out perfect, but I’m still really happy with it! To finish it off, I added seashells, a twine bow, and sea glass. Happy crafting, y’all!
